Professor David Ehigie Esezobor is a distinguished scholar, accomplished academic, professional engineer, researcher, innovator and engineering leader with nearly four decades of contributions to academia, industry, and national development. He is Professor of Sustainable Extractive Metallurgy and Advanced Materials Processing at the University of Lagos, where he has supervised numerous postgraduate researchers, authored over 90 scholarly works, attracted major research grants, and developed patented technologies and innovative engineering solutions. His leadership experience includes serving as Head of Department, Sub-Dean of Engineering, National Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical, Mining and Materials Engineers (NI3ME), and Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers Presidential Committee on Iron and Steel Development. A Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, Nigerian Society of Engineers, and NI3ME, Professor Esezobor is widely recognized for his commitment to engineering education, research mentorship, sustainable industrialization, materials innovation, and the advancement of Nigeria’s metallurgical and manufacturing sectors.
